Have you ever wondered what Sands chilhood and teenage years were like? I mean there has to be reason for him being slightly psychotic.
I think that he probably grew up in rich family...very rich. In a "perfect" family that looks perfect only in front of friends and important people. Dunno why that's how I see it.

I dont quite see perfect.. I see something less... thats why hes the best... I mean what I think is, he probably started at the bottom and worked his way up to the top, giving him reason to be the stuck up person he is.

I agree I see it as very far from perfect... about as far as it was possible to be.. abusive.. fractured.. and with some deep secret reason why he is compelled to set a balence between good and bad.. while not inspired to actually be good himself.. I love that twist to him.. restore the balence.. even if that means mediocre pilbil.. the sacrifices this man is prepared to make... well actually he probably isn't LOL

thanks Rosie... .. in an rp of Sands.. I had his youth in dire poverty.. an abusive father and pious but weak mother.. good & evil not in balence.. other things happen but he is an outsider and see's belonging as weak.. as then you've chosen a side.. good or evil.. and if your on a side.. they can let you down.. Sand's best friend seems to be his phone.. keeping real human contact at bay...

Sand's best friend seems to be his phone.. keeping real human contact at bay... Heh, I never thought if his phone that way before. ^.^ But, yeah, I think he's the type to try to avoid other people as much as possible. But as far as his childhood is concerned... hmm...how do I say this without giving too much of my story (it's on this board! Check it out, please! ^.^) ...okay, I think I got it. To me, Sands might have grown up rich -- not filthy rich but pretty well off. I dunno, he just seems to have this subtle arroggance to him. Not like he's looking down his nose at anybody, cuz I really don't think he likes anyone in particular, save for himself, of course. This is just a guess on my part, of course, but I think he may have had a family, although I don't think he could've considered them actual 'family.' With my Sands, at least, his dad was never there for him. Didn't even want the poor guy to begin with, so he made an effort to avoid him. And, since his mother (who did love him) died when he was younger, he's been unloved for most of his life. I think it's so cool that a topic's been opened up so everyone can chat about Sands' childhood. And the different theories are very nifty as well. ^.^ I could go further into my own ideas, but, like I said, then I'd be giving things from my story away. Just as a note, if anybody out there is as big a fan of flashbacks (childhood ones especially) as I am, then check my fic out. Like I said, it's posted on this board and I try to update as often as possible. ^.^ Peace, gang! ~Sid

I see him as dirt poor.. thats why $10,000 dollars is more than enough to kill someone over... in my writing.. Sands as a small child had a very abusive father.. who tortured his mother and him.. his mother was very religious and pious.. but too weak to leave.. when a young boy of about 7 he returned home to find what he thought was his father having finally murdered his mother.. he remembered the sound of the gun killing his father.. but didn't remember getting it.. or firing it.. it was then he realized his mother was alive.. she screamed at him for killing the father.. and hit Sands (It always amazes me.. but it happens abused women attack anyone attacking their attacker) and grabbed at the gun.. it went off killing her too.. so he evened out good; that never saved him but ended up attacking him too and the evil of his father.. so he walked that line since.. trusting neither evil or good.. he shifted from one foster home, childrens home for years.. never putting down roots.. always the outsider.. until one teacher noticed he was bright.. he joined the CIA.. as it offered a way out.. and the ability to make money He trusts no one and only looks out for himself.. cos no one else did.. he's cruel cos he never trusted or got kindness.. and doesn't know how to give it.. cos there is not much of it in there.. .. or thats what I made up for him...

I see him as dirt poor.. thats why $10,000 dollars is more than enough to kill someone over... Good point but you can also look into all this in another way. Not that 10,000 dollars is tha big money to him but it shows how wortheless human's life is in his opinion.

oh yeah thats a big part of it too. .plus he killed him just cos his fake arm was spotted.. I mean what the! .. thats just like no reason.. its something he is perfectly happy to do.. kills without remorse .. .. like Depp said.. he wants them to point out the fake moustache just so he can kill them.. I love the part when he sorta double takes a woman walking after him after the chicle boy part.. cos she appears to be trying not to laugh as she walks past him.. and his fake moustache.. I smile at that as I picture him wondering if she looked at him wrong enough to shoot her LOL .. almost hoping ya know.. cos thats so Sands LOL
